Power unit
State-of-the-art drive techÂnolÂoÂgy and absolute meaÂsurÂing systems enable energy-optiÂmized operÂaÂtion with high preÂciÂsion and low mainÂteÂnance. Energy recovery systems have been in use at WALDRICH COBURG for decades.
The space-optiÂmized self-built gearbox of the X‑axis sits on the machine table. The high in-house proÂducÂtion rate ensures a supply of spare parts even after 20 years.
The two feed motors of the X‑axis are water-cooled, thus preÂventÂing heat from entering the machine.

Tool changer
With 100 tools in the basic conÂfigÂuÂraÂtion and the expanÂsion option to 200 places, a high degree of flexÂiÂbilÂiÂty is also achieved in the tool area. The very short tool change times reduce non-proÂducÂtive time to a minimum.
ProÂcessÂing unit changer
The machinÂing units of the TAURUS are produced in Coburg. So the TAURUS can be adapted to your workÂpiece. In the autoÂmatÂic changing system, 4 storage places for proÂcessÂing units are availÂable.
Coolant system
The coolant cleaning system is inteÂgratÂed on the supply platform. A compact belt filter system is used, which can be flexibly adapted to customer requireÂments. Here, too, we pay attenÂtion to low energy conÂsumpÂtion and use freÂquenÂcy-conÂtrolled booster pumps for the internal and external coolant supply. By using a screw pump, the pressure of the internal coolant supply can be increased to 70 bar, as an alterÂnaÂtive to the standard version.
Housing
Design und Function!
The TAURUS guarding system is more than just splash and chip proÂtecÂtion. The operator‘s raised platform, the chip conÂveyÂors and the gratings next to the table are inteÂgratÂed into the guarding.
The operator has a good clear view of the machinÂing process through the large windows next to the operÂatÂing panel. The sliding door into the machine has a wide opening.
The large, but light hinged-doors at the front of the machine assist workÂpiece loading.

Thereby you can operate TAURUS using your familiar control systems.

Because of the large display and the manufacturer’s original keyboard, operÂatÂing TAURUS is a pleasure.
The whole control station can be swiveled and the angle of the keyboard can be adjusted.
With the optionÂalÂly availÂable video camera or InPro proÂducÂtivÂiÂty package, a separate tablet and docking station with addiÂtionÂal funcÂtions is also included for the operator’s use.
Energy box
The operator is pleased with the space-saving compact design. All supply units are located on the energy box.
RegenÂerÂaÂtive drive techÂnolÂoÂgy, wear-free guides and the comÂbiÂnaÂtion of the supply units in the energy box facilÂiÂtate operÂaÂtion and mainÂteÂnance work. safety proÂducÂtion package
This package includes a cleaning station for the tool flange and taper. In addition, tool breakage detecÂtion using a laser is included.
The use of tool breakage detecÂtion reduces tooling costs and enables unmanned proÂducÂtion.
pallet changer
An optional pallet changer is availÂable to allow part set-up in parallel with part machinÂing. The fast double carrier reduces non-proÂducÂtive time. It only takes 3 minutes to exchange pallets. Extended chip conÂveyÂors keep the set-up area clean.
Fully enclosed guarding for the machine is included in the price of the pallet system.
Video camera
The dome-type video camera is located in the working area and allows the operator to view the far side of the workÂpiece.
The camera has swivel and zoom funcÂtions. The picture is shown on the InPro tablet.
InPro
InPro, the InterÂacÂtive ProÂducÂtion support allows ergonomÂic operÂaÂtion, increasÂes the machine availÂabilÂiÂty and conÂtributes to machine safety. MainÂteÂnance perÂsonÂnel are assisted by a menu-guided system, the interÂacÂtive diagÂnosÂtics help for a speedy error search and the MDR gives inforÂmaÂtion on machine use. Fixture sheets, NC program manÂageÂment etc. are conÂnectÂed to a modern network. WALDRICH COBURG has used this for more than 15 years and TeleÂserÂvice for more than 30 years.
