Im Rahmen einer feierlichen Jubilarveranstaltung durften wir zahlreiche langjährige Mitarbeitende für ihre Treue und ihr Engagement ehren. Insgesamt 24 Jubilarinnen und Jubilare wurden in der „Alten Mühle“ in festlichem Ambiente gewürdigt.

Bei einem gemeinsamen Abendessen nutzten wir die Gelegenheit, uns persönlich für den langjährigen Einsatz und die enge Verbundenheit mit WALDRICH COBURG zu bedanken. Mit dem neuen Format der Jubilarfeier wollen wir unsere Wertschätzung in einem neuen Rahmen zum Ausdruck bringen.

Encouraging Words at the Start of Training

CEO Uwe Herold recalled his own start at WALDRICH COBURG 35 years ago and helped ease the visible nerves of the new apprentices:

This year again, 30 colleagues took part in the Neue Presse company run in Bad Rodach.

Large participation in popular running event

More than 2,000 runners took part in this well-loved event. Highly motivated, full of fun, and in my opinion, quite speedy—we all made it to the finish line together. At the aftershow party, we continued the celebration with pizza and cool drinks. Every first-time runner received a brand-new WALDRICH COBURG running shirt and a food voucher for the evening. We had a great time together and thoroughly enjoyed both the race and the evening with our colleagues and the other running teams.

Seven colleagues were honored for 40-year anniversaries and six colleagues for 25-year anniversaries. Employees from WALDRICH COBURG and Jingcheng Holding Europe GmbH were honored.

Marco Ambrassat, Thomas Bätz, Timo Baumgärtner, Wolfgang Hoffrichter, Michael Kunzelmann and Christian Probst have been with the company for 25 years.

WALDRICH COBURG can look back on a very successful exhibition appearance at the China International Import Expo (CIIE). The highlight of the exhibition was the signing of a cooperation agreement with SUMEC and Sinomach. The ceremony was broadcast on Chinese television, CCTV1. This public signing generated nationwide publicity and strengthened WALDRICH COBURG’s position in China.

Christian Wassermann’s presentation to a specialist audience attracted particular attention. More than 280 spectators were present on site and in the livestream. Wassermann presented the innovative “TAURUS Universe” and offered interested parties valuable insights into the new developments from WALDRICH COBURG.

In a festive ceremony, WALDRICH COBURG used the exhibition to seal the new purchase agreements with its long-standing customer Qinchuan Machine Tool & Tools for a further TAURUS 25 and WayGrind. This not only strengthened existing business partnerships, but also paved the way for future business relationships.

Our BJO team from WALDRICH COBURG Beijing was personally present at CIIE together with Christian Wassermann (Area Sales Manager Asia-Pacific) and exhibited at the booth of SUMEC, a leading import partner for Chinese companies looking to purchase high-quality machines from Germany. SUMEC not only offers financing options, but also supports project management and acts as a tendering agency for tendering procedures.

SUMEC is part of Sinomach.

Sinomach, also known as China National Machinery Industry Corporation, is a state-owned enterprise in China. It is one of the largest companies in the country’s engineering industry and plays an important role in various sectors such as mechanical engineering, electronics, construction machinery, vehicles and more. Sinomach is active in numerous areas, including research, development, production and international trading activities.

The company is part of the Central Administration for State-Owned Assets of the People’s Republic of China (SASAC). It has a wide range of subsidiaries and holdings that focus on various industries. Sinomach plays an important role in the implementation of government policies, particularly in connection with technological innovation and the promotion of key industries.

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is an annual exhibition in Shanghai, China.

It was first launched in 2018 to offer foreign companies a platform to enter the Chinese market. The CIIE focuses on the import of goods and services. Companies from all over the world take the opportunity to present their products to a Chinese audience. The exhibition plays an important role in China’s efforts to open up its economy and promote international trade.

Our TAURUS 30 Gemini already won the International Design Award (IDA) in bronze in 2022.

Designer Karl-Ludwig Holl was recently in the house to personally present the award. This is the 2nd award for the successful “twin” of the TAURUS.

In the evaluation process for submissions to the IDA, the projects are examined and classified by an experienced specialist jury using various evaluation criteria. A random selection process for the projects and an anonymous review ensure the impartiality of the jury.

Evaluation criteria are, for example, innovation, functionality and benefit. Since not every design is able to meet the complete catalog of criteria, these serve more as a guide. Of greater importance is the judgment, which is based on the expertise and professional background of each individual judge.
