Key topics were the nec\u00ades\u00adsary reduc\u00adtion in bureau\u00adcra\u00adcy and faster approval pro\u00adce\u00addures in the area of special trans\u00adports.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Klaus B\u00fchring drew a positive con\u00adclu\u00adsion: \u201cWe have improved in terms of approvals and are cur\u00adrent\u00adly at 6 to 8 weeks, compared to the approval period of 12 to 16 weeks in the summer. That\u2019s still not great, but we\u2019re on the right track.\u201d For WALDRICH COBURG, the German seaports are extreme\u00adly impor\u00adtant for the trans\u00adporta\u00adtion of large machine tools. Transport routes to Antwerp or Rot\u00adter\u00addam would entail con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00adable addi\u00adtion\u00adal costs. Possible ports in Italy would require dif\u00adfi\u00adcult over\u00adwidth trans\u00adporta\u00adtion via the Brenner Pass. <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fluc\u00adtu\u00adat\u00ading costs in trans\u00adporta\u00adtion and logis\u00adtics<\/h4>\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In view of the increased costs, it was impor\u00adtant for Dr. Jonas Geissler to know to what extent WALDRICH COBURG was affected by the increase in toll charges and energy costs as well as fluc\u00adtu\u00ada\u00adtions in the US dollar exchange rate.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trans\u00adporta\u00adtion and logis\u00adtics costs are subject to strong fluc\u00adtu\u00ada\u00adtions due to the long duration of machine projects, from the initial pre\u00adlim\u00adi\u00adnary cal\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adtion to the final shipment. Energy price increas\u00ades, rising material costs and exchange rate fluc\u00adtu\u00ada\u00adtions would make the current price cal\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adtions for machines even more dif\u00adfi\u00adcult.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an inter\u00adview with Dr. Jonas Geissler on the subject of the US dollar, Klaus B\u00fchring added that WALDRICH COBURG is cur\u00adrent\u00adly not receiv\u00ading many inquiries and orders from the USA: \u201cThere is also an increas\u00ading shortage of skilled workers in America who can operate the machines. The machines are not being used to capacity. This is not due to the order sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion but, as in Germany, to the lack of skilled workers.\u201d <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More courage and deci\u00adsive\u00adness<\/h4>\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the dis\u00adcus\u00adsion, Dr. Jonas Geissler called for more courage and deci\u00adsive\u00adness. \u201cEspe\u00adcial\u00adly in these times, we need a company that is coura\u00adgeous,\u201d said Geissler during the company visit. Dr. Jonas Geissler plans to visit the company again in spring. In addition to the factory tour, there will be dis\u00adcus\u00adsions with the works council and employ\u00adees. \u201cTo further shorten approval times for trans\u00adporta\u00adtion, reduce bureau\u00adcra\u00adcy and give people more trust and security in politics again.
